At Travel Wheels we pride ourselves on mechanical reliability. This means that the car you choose has a much better chance of getting around Australia.

As you may or may not know, different States in Australia have different standards when it comes to checking cars annually. In NSW you will hear of what is called a pink slip. DO NOT confuse this to be a full check over the engine. It is a test to prove that the car is safe to be on the road, it is not a test to prove that the car is reliable.

Some states don’t even do a test on the car, as you can just re-register your car over the phone or internet; this means the car hasn’t even been checked for anything at all (be aware). So why do so many people take chances with buying these cars in Australia? We have asked our customers and our staff (who have all travelled Australia) and we seem to get the same answer

“Because they seem so cheap” or “I'm in a hurry I need to leave Sydney it’s to expensive”.

At Travel Wheels we don’t believe in rushing any work that has to be done to any car just because the customer wants to leave in a hurry.

We believe at Travel Wheels that to make a good business is to make the customer have the time of their lives travelling Australia, with a car that’s not going to cost them a fortune in repairs and headaches later down the line.

All our cars are fully mechanically inspected and repaired at our government approved testing station.

If we find a car that has a lot of problems we will simply replace parts with new ones or even replace engines if needed — it’s that easy for us. Remember in a lot of cases we may be the first people to have done a full check over on a lot of these 10 -25 year old cars.

We advise all travellers once you pick up the car from us please try to keep local. Don’t go charging off up the coast or into the desert - Remember we have been one of the first to properly look over your vehicle and its still possible little things can go wrong, so we offer you 3 days to make sure youre happy with your car and to return your vehicle to our workshop where we can assist you with any little problems you may come across.

Times to fix cars will vary depending on the vehicle you chose and how much work is needed to bring it to a standard we approve of.
