Quick Guide to Western Australia
If you can imagine an Australia state which is as large as Western Europe, then this will give you an idea of how big Western Australia really is! In addition to this, the whole of Western Australia only has two million people (approximately 10% of the total population of Australia) and most of them live in and around Perth!
| The driving distances between many of the star attractions are massive, and you really do get the feeling that you are travelling through an untouched and pristine landscape that is perfect for the adventure traveller, especially in a campervan or station wagon from Travel Wheels! |
CAPITAL
Perth is the capital of Western Australia and has a population of approximately 1.3 million people. It is known as the most isolated city in the world and Singapore is actually closer than Sydney!
CLIMATE
As Western Australia is such a massive state, its climate has two distinctive weather patterns with the north behaving like the tropics, and the south where the majority of people live (in and around Perth) is blessed with wonderfully sunny summers and a very mild winter.
