There are many short picturesque walks in the area to start your day before you leave the National Park on your way south towards Batemans Bay. This is the starting point to the coastal region which is known as 'Eurobodalla' which begins in Bateman's Bay and eventually finishes at Narooma. |

Bateman's Bay - This is a small seaside town and it is a place real Australians go for their annual holiday or for weekend breaks and it has a number of nice beaches to the south of the town. |

If you fancy having a go at surfing then Tomakin beach is well known for its surf. This is also a great place to go sea kayaking. |
For more water based activities, why not hire a Jet Ski from Coriggan's Beach or you can go on a 3 hour river cruise up to a riverside historic village called Nelligen. For more information on all of these activities, the helpful local tourist board at www.naturecoast-tourism.com.au is a good place for information.

It's time to jump back into your campervan and follow the road south towards Narooma. On the way you will pass Montague Island which is 8kms offshore and has now been declared a nature reserve. - http://www.montagueisland.com.au |
Montague Island - 10,000 pairs of Fairy Penguins live here! This is also a great place to spot sea birds and colonies of fur seals.

Back on the main road; don't forget to get your camera out as to take a picture of Australia Rock, which is slightly off the beaten track. To get to it, you first have to drive down Bar Rock Road and go past the golf course and it's near the river mouth on Wagonga Head.
The next village you will travel through is Tilba Tilba which has a population of about 120 people and has many historic cottages and some great cafes to explore. Well worth a stop to see all the little arts and craft outlets and to grab some lunch.
Bega is next town on your journey and it's famous for one thing, CHEESE! It's worth making a slight detour here to visit the Cheese factory to taste some of the Bega Cheese you see in shops all over Australia! http://www.begacheese.com.au
