At travelwheels you can buy great value camping gear so that you are ready for your Australian adventure.  Remember our years of experience backpacking/camping around Australia allows us to create great value camping packs which can either be purchased below cost price with a vehicle or for a very reasonable cost, so that you can turn your existing car into a fully kitted out camping wagon ready for fun on the open roads in wild Australia!

With travelwheels we like to keep things simple.  We offer very good value camping packs for you to choose from.  If you need anything extra, or have any special requirements such as additional awnings or custom made sleeper beds or hand-made built in storage units, we can construct just about anything that will fit into a Station wagon, Campervan, or Sleeper Wagon.  Contact us with a challenge and we will make it for you for a great price! 

With every car, van or 4x4 we can arange camping gear for you at below cost price.  Below is a sample of what you will get with your travelwheels station wagon, campervan, 4x4, or sleeper wagon.

We have two great camping packages to choose from, is it good value Pack A or Pack B, the choice is yours!  They both offer extremely great value for money and do not have any unnecessary filler items, so you won’t be carrying around a lot of extra weight on your trip!

Extras

With travelwheels our optional extras are really something to shout about!  We know about living life on the open road from our own adventures and we know that sometimes a traveller needs a little bit of luxury (at the right price).  As experienced travellers ourselves who love to explore this beautiful country, we have added a number of travel options you will find will help sooth those miles on the road:

Car stereos: All travelwheels Station wagons, campervans, Sleeper Wagons, and 4x4’s come with a car stereo with either a cd player or radio included.  Without one we know from painful first hand experience that there is only so much singing you can do to each other, and we don’t want to inflict this on any of our customers!  If you are a big music fan (we are) and you want a really great stereo fitted into your car, we can help.  You can either purchase it yourself or we can source one for you at minimal cost and fit for you so that you can hit the road with your tunes ready your adventure.

Mp3 adaptors: Fancy listening to your favourite tunes on your own Mp3 player in the car?  No worries with travelwheels come into the showroom or click on this video and we will show you how simple it is to play your Mp3’s in your car.  You can even with a small battery Radio, use the Mp3 transmitter on the beach and blast those tunes from your Mp3 player while you relax on the beach.

Gazebos: These are super quick to put up and you can be sitting under you new shade drinking a cool beer, or for eating your food in the shade.  They are ideal for the beach or campgrounds, and we can supply one at a bargain price!

Playstation 3 / X-Box & TV: For the passengers or kids (small or large), let the hours pass by on the long desert roads playing your favourite games such as Grand Theft Auto.   We can supply a great choice of games to suit all ages, this is a brilliant option for campervans or sleeper wagons.  Contact us for more details, we can custom fit just about anything into a car/campervan/sleeper wagon/4x4 so you are as comfortable as possible for your great adventure in Australia.   

DVDs: If you cannot do without your home comforts, we can fit a wide range of DVD players, surround sound systems and flat screens in your vehicle.  Very handy for those rainy nights in the wet season up North or just to watching a movie before bedtime, and remember they all have remote controls you can be tucked up in bed and watching your favourite film with a touch of a button.

Mattress: Spending months on the open road, take our advice and we have a bad back to prove it, you need a good quality mattress!  Here at travelwheels we can supply a great value mattress so that you are ready for action.  All our mattresses are brand new and are still sealed in the wrapping.  Let’s face it, it is not nice to buy a car with an old mattress in it that looks like it’s been found on the side of the road, and stinks of sweat and you never know what’s happened to it (yuck)!  Our advice, get a brand new one, and if you need any special requirements or a firmer mattress, we can point you in the right direction on where to buy one.

Maps: We consider the atlas we sell is buy far the best road atlas to get around Oz (ask us why).

Extras for Vans: At travelwheels we know it’s good to grab a good night’s sleep in a tidy bed.  Why rough it, when we at travelwheels we can build and construct you a quality bed in your chosen vehicle.  We can help you plan and produce your exact specifications for maximum comfort in the back of any of our vehicles.  This will allow you more room to move, and as an additional benefit it will give you plenty of room to store your bags, camping equipment and the surf board of course!

Side awnings: Side awnings are great!  Here at travelwheels we wouldn’t dream of hitting the road without our awning for shade and to cook under.  We can custom make an awning for any vehicle in our fleet and this will allow you to have an outside eating area, and with a couple of chairs, a table and an esky (ice box) you will really be living the highlife in the bush.

Extras for 4X4: Here at travelwheels, we love 4x4s, and there is nothing we like to do better than construct one of our famous fold out beds to maximise the space in the back of a 4x4.  The bed is built in two sections so it can slide over the rear seats when they are folded down. This will enable you to still utilise the rear of the vehicle, and keeping the maximum space available so that the rear seats can be used for your friends or family on your exciting road trip.

Four wheel driving course: Here at travelwheels we love to get out into the bush and experience the real Australia.  However for those of you interested in hiring or buying a 4x4, we recommend going on a professional four wheel drive course.  Don’t worry, it isn’t expensive and it’s a great full day out and this will give you the confidence and the knowledge to make sure you understand the proper way to utilise your 4x4 in Australia. We can organise all of this for you with just a phone call from our office.
