How the Travelwheels Guaranteed Buyback Works
1. Choose a used campervan or 4×4 from the Travelwheels website.
2. The Guaranteed Buyback amount, return date and conditions are confirmed in writing when you buy the vehicle.
3. The vehicle is registered in your name, so you can sell it privately or use the Guaranteed Buyback if you run out of time.
Contact Us Six Weeks Before Returning to Sydney
4. Travelwheels will advertise your vehicle for free on our website, where potential buyers can view it alongside our current campervans and 4x4s for sale.
5. If you do not find a private buyer before flying home, you can return the vehicle to Travelwheels under the agreed Guaranteed Buyback terms.
We inspect the vehicle against the original condition report, buy it back and pay the agreed Guaranteed Buyback amount.
Four Friends Travelled Australia for Six Months for AUD $1,500 Each
Four friends bought a used 4×4 from Travelwheels for AUD $10,000 before starting a six-month trip around Australia in January.
They travelled along the East Coast of Australia from Sydney to Cairns, then down the middle via the outback, and finally back to Sydney.

We recommend checking the tyre pressures once a week. Check the engine oil and coolant levels every few days, with the engine cool. Regular checks can help identify small issues early and keep the vehicle running safely. Travelwheels will inspect the vehicle against the original condition report completed when you purchased it. Bodywork or windscreen damage, bald tyres, a damaged exhaust, oil or coolant leaks, underbody damage or deliberate alterations such as repainting may affect the final Guaranteed Buyback payment. Damage caused by using a vehicle off-road when it is designed for normal road use may also affect the final payment. A cleaning fee of AUD $200 may be charged if the vehicle is returned in an unclean condition. You must return the keys, paperwork and equipment supplied with the vehicle.
